Work Environment

The PTA will work onsite at our cutting-edge hospital facility, designed to create a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere for our patients. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, with standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans, focusing on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and physical functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and rehabilitative activities designed to alleviate pain and promote physical well-being.
• Educate patients about body mechanics, therapeutic exercises, and home-based programs that facilitate their recovery and empower them to take charge of their health.
• Administer treatment modalities like electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist, ensuring appropriate application and monitoring of effects.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously, noting changes in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities to inform future treatment strategies.
• Maintain an organized treatment area, ensuring that all required equipment and supplies are prepared and accessible for therapy sessions, thus streamlining the therapeutic process.
• Collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team, which includes occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists, to optimize patient care and enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients during their rehabilitation journey, fostering a therapeutic environment that encourages growth and healing.
• Uphold ethical standards in patient confidentiality and professional conduct, respecting patients' rights and dignity at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A minimum qualification of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active state licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions.
• Proven experience in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities effectively, under the guidance of a PT.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Adaptability to work with various patient populations and tailor treatment approaches to meet individual restorative goals.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Previous experience with diverse patient populations or specific focus areas such as sports rehabilitation or geriatrics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
