Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our facility, you will work a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may occasionally be required to accommodate patient needs. The work environment is collaborative and dynamic, allowing you to engage with a team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals, all working together towards a common goal of improving patient health and functional capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
• Guide patients in performing therapeutic exercises, stretches, and rehabilitation activities aimed at restoring mobility, enhancing strength, and alleviating pain.
• Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics and rehabilitation techniques, as well as recommend home exercise programs to support their recovery journey.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, ensuring safe and effective treatment under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, keeping accurate records of range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional gains.
• Prepare treatment environments by organizing equipment and supplies, ensuring that therapy areas are clean, safe, and ready for patient use.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans and improve therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide consistent emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive atmosphere that motivates patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards, safeguarding patient confidentiality and respecting their rights throughout their treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with span a diverse range of backgrounds, including those recovering from surgical procedures, individuals with chronic pain, the elderly requiring geriatric rehabilitation, and young athletes recovering from sports injuries. Your ability to tailor treatment methods to these varying populations is essential for achieving customized care and optimal results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions relevant to physical therapy.
• Proficiency in implementing exercises and modalities under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits
