Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to design and carry out individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Conduct routine therapy procedures, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and electrical stimulation, while adhering to established protocols.
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions, observing their conditions and responses, and accurately documenting progress and challenges.
• Communicate effectively with therapists regarding patient reactions and any necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Assist in maintaining sanitized, organized therapy areas and ensure appropriate physical resources are available for patient use.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care and contribute to improving departmental operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will primarily focus on working with adults suffering from orthopedic issues and chronic pain, including post-surgical recovery and rehabilitation strategies. Understanding the unique needs of these patients—many of whom experience significant emotional and physical challenges—is essential to provide empathetic and effective care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted New York Physical Therapy Assistant license, or eligibility to apply. Candidates must ensure compliance with state regulations and ongoing licensing requirements.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a strong ability to work as part of a team and establish rapport with a diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary that ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 based on experience and qualifications.
