Key Responsibilities

• Support Physical Therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing mobility, strength, and functionality for patients across various rehabilitation pathways.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring they achieve their rehabilitation goals while minimizing pain and discomfort.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques essential for their recovery, including personalized home exercise programs.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and heat/cold applications under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Rigorously monitor and document patient progress, including improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functional capabilities.
• Maintain a well-organized treatment area, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are ready for use during therapy sessions.
• Establish effective communication with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them stay motivated and engaged in their treatment.
• Uphold the ethical and professional standards of physical therapy practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to safety protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, age-related impairments, pediatric cases, and sports injuries. Each patient presents unique challenges and needs, requiring the PTA to be adaptable and responsive in their approach to care. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy interventions.
• Ability to effectively implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under the oversight of Physical Therapists.

Compensation and Benefits
