Work Environment

Working onsite in Fairview, you will be part of a collaborative healthcare environment. Our facility is designed to support orthopedic therapy, allowing for a range of treatments and rehabilitation services to best serve our patients. You will primarily work in a home care setting, delivering services directly at patients' homes, which adds a personal touch to care and helps to create a more comfortable recovery environment. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, maintaining a steady work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will undertake various responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine the most effective treatment protocols based on specific orthopedic conditions and individual circumstances.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, including physicians and occupational therapists.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, daily notes, and discharge summaries to maintain a clear record of care and patient outcomes.
• Modifying treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and any changes in their condition, ensuring optimal recovery.
• Engaging with patients and their families to educate them about their conditions and the treatment process, providing supportive resources for continued recovery at home.
• Participating in team meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices and enhance the collective knowledge within the clinical team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients suffering from a variety of orthopedic conditions, including those recovering from surgery, injuries related to sports or workplace incidents, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Your work will involve assessing their functional limitations and developing tailored rehabilitation strategies that promote recovery, pain alleviation, and improved mobility.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Valid and active state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required, candidates with prior experience in home care settings are highly desirable. Familiarity with evidence-based practice methodologies and patient care software systems will be beneficial to streamline documentation and improve patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
