Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual goals and needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises aimed at rebuilding strength and restoring motion.
• Monitor and document patient progress systematically, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention strategies, self-management techniques, and the importance of adherence to prescribed home exercise programs.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapy assistants, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate multi-disciplinary patient care.
• Participate in regular professional development activities, such as workshops and peer reviews, to continuously enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients suffering from a range of orthopedic issues, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clinic emphasizes a holistic approach to healing, focusing not just on physical recovery but also on educating our patients to become active participants in their wellness journey.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is necessary; however, a Doctorate (DPT) or a Master's Degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster empathetic relationships with patients are essential for success in this role.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred, with additional certifications in specialties like geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation a plus.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for patient home visits, as applicable.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic environment, particularly focusing on post-operative rehabilitation and sports therapy, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated capability to use therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and neuromuscular re-education techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant therapy management software to track patient progress and document care.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
