Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will work onsite in a collaborative environment alongside two other skilled physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's unique objectives and care requirements, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.
• Manage a patient caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives dedicated attention and care during their sessions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques aimed at improving mobility, restoring function, and reducing pain.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques effectively to enhance patient treatment outcomes and contribute to the overall rehabilitation process.
• Implement cost-efficient treatment options that promote functional improvements, striving to minimize reliance on medication and unnecessary surgical interventions.
• Foster patient motivation through educational workshops, structured plans, and wellness programs tailored to their specific goals.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with facility protocols and EMR software systems such as WebPT.
• Assess and monitor treatment efficacy, modifying care plans as necessary to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimize treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will primarily involve working with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and mobility limitations due to various musculoskeletal disorders. Each patient is distinct, and your focus will be on integrating evidence-based practices to enhance their functional abilities and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is a requirement for this position.
• Current certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in Newark, NJ, in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in assessing patient needs and developing comprehensive treatment programs.
• Experience with manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) platforms, specifically WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, with a demonstrated track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Experience in developing and facilitating wellness programs for diverse populations.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
