Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center located in the heart of East Orange. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving motion and mobility.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and advanced treatment methodologies, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, to reduce pain and improve function.
• Educate patients on their conditions and encourage their participation in treatment and recovery, promoting motivation and adherence.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and support rehabilitation goals.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in electronic health records, maintaining clear and organized records for effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs.
• Participate in community outreach programs to educate the public on injury prevention and wellness initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The diverse range of patient cases will enable you to utilize your expertise and develop specialized treatment approaches that best fit the needs of each individual. You will play a crucial role in not only restoring function but also improving the quality of life for our clients by promoting health and wellness.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master's degree or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Possession of a clean licensing record with no disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrable skills in creating and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing personalized exercise regimens.
• Experience in utilizing advanced rehabilitation methods and technology.

Compensation and Benefits
