Work Environment

This is an onsite role where you will operate within a collaborative outpatient office setting. The environment encourages teamwork among our therapists, with two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) actively working together to provide top-notch care. Our practice primarily serves patients with private medical insurance, which allows us to focus on personalized treatment without the constraints often found in larger healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Employ diverse treatment methodologies, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to maximize patient recovery.
• Effectively manage a caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring that every individual receives undivided attention and care.
• Monitor patient progress rigorously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, using platforms such as WebPT.
• Educate patients on their conditions and motivate them to adhere to their rehabilitation regimes, promoting active participation in their recovery process.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Promote wellness initiatives by implementing fitness and wellness programs that address individual patient needs and preferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with an adult clientele, many of whom are recovering from surgical interventions or dealing with chronic orthopedic conditions. Patients receive personalized attention, allowing you to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships, which are crucial for motivating them throughout their rehabilitation journey. The goal is to enhance their physical capabilities and reduce dependence on medication and invasive procedures.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• A clean professional record, with no disciplinary actions against your physical therapy license.
• Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques and exercise science.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software for seamless documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Physical Therapist within an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with current best practices in physical therapy techniques and patient care standards.
• Previous experience in a team-oriented clinic environment.

Compensation and Benefits
