Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical history, performing physical assessments, and formulating tailored treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient goals.

• Implement and modify treatment protocols aligned with the best practices and evolving healthcare standards to maximize therapeutic outcomes.

• Maintain thorough documentation that accurately reflects the patient's course of care, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

• Engage in discharge planning, coordinating follow-up care, and ensuring the patient fully understands their ongoing rehabilitation needs and home exercises.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights and collaborating on patient care strategies.

• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment goals, therapeutic exercises, and preventive care to foster independence and empower recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, trauma, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and quality of life. You will work with a diverse population, tailoring interventions to various ages and backgrounds, ensuring personalized care that respects each patient's unique preferences and goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in orthopedic physical therapy is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience working in an outpatient setting will be an advantage.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and physical therapy documentation tools.

Compensation and Benefits
