Progressive Care Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to become an integral part of our outpatient care team located in Carteret, New Jersey. This full-time position involves providing personalized therapy services aimed at restoring motion, enhancing mobility, and improving the overall quality of life for our patients.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite in our state-of-the-art outpatient clinic, which fosters an environment of collaboration and professional growth. The standard work schedule runs from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized patient care by assessing needs, setting specific goals, and developing personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique challenges and aspirations.
• Manage a reasonable patient load to ensure comprehensive attention and effective interventions tailored to maximize each patient's recovery.
• Utilize orthopedic physical therapy expertise to guide patients through restoration exercises, manual therapy techniques, and gait training.
• Promote non-invasive treatment alternatives, educating patients on methods to enhance recovery while reducing reliance on medication.
• Create and implement detailed care plans incorporating diverse methodologies including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
• Motivate patients with a supportive approach, tracking their progress and adapting treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to create a cohesive treatment strategy.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and regulations.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify strategies to enhance patient recovery and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your focus will be on facilitating recovery and improving physical function for patients across a wide age range, allowing them to regain independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrate a robust understanding of manual therapy techniques and exercise program development that leads to effective patient outcomes.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, to ensure precise and accurate documentation.
• Stay current with the latest research in physical therapy, implementing evidence-based practices in all patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• A track record of success in implementing effective exercise regimens for diverse patient populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to foster an encouraging and healing environment for patients.

Compensation and Benefits
