Work Environment

This role is based on-site at our comprehensive rehabilitation center, where you will collaborate closely with a team of professionals, including other physical therapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare staff. Our facility operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing a structured workflow that supports a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to develop personalized physical therapy plans that address each patient's unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a thoughtful patient load, ensuring adequate time and attention are provided for high-quality care and successful outcomes.
• Implement evidence-based treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs.
• Promote non-surgical approaches and educate patients on alternatives to reduce reliance on medications.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' progress continuously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and results accurately in EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure meticulous record-keeping.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey while instilling a commitment to a healthy lifestyle that enhances strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care that maximizes patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position mainly involves treating patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse client base, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of individuals recovering from various injuries or health issues. Your role is essential in guiding patients through tailored fitness and wellness programs designed to improve their mobility and functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) will be prioritized.
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with a clean record—free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated mastery of multiple manual therapy modalities and a proven ability to design effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficient in the use of EMR systems, notably WebPT, ensuring accurate and timely documentation practices.
• In-depth understanding of current research and methodologies in physical therapy, which should inform your practice and treatment approaches.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of professional experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehabilitation is preferred, candidates demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care and a track record of successful outcomes will be highly considered.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
