Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, where you will meet clients in their home environments. The intimate setting allows for tailored approaches to rehabilitation, taking into consideration the unique challenges each client faces in their daily life. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement tailored physical therapy treatments with the goal of preventing disability and relieving pain, considering each client's needs.
• Oversee and guide physical therapy assistants to ensure the accurate and effective implementation of care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using a range of assessment tools, including diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint functions.
• Assess clients' home environments to recommend modifications that will enhance independence and safety.
• Administer various therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, while motivating clients to participate actively in their recovery processes.
• Generate and maintain detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, and submit them as per regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively plan and assess the overall treatment strategies for each client.
• Educate clients and their families on therapy techniques and the appropriate use of assistive devices.
• Maintain professional growth by keeping abreast of relevant healthcare developments and regulations.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Proof of current CPR certification and a valid driver's license.

• Proficient in understanding and navigating complex healthcare regulations and standards.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in home care settings. Experience in assessment and rehabilitation of geriatric patients is especially valuable. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to engage with patients and families effectively are essential for success in this role. Candidates should exhibit creativity in problem-solving and a collaborative spirit in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive salary package ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
