Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Execute evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, and functional independence, specifically for orthopedic conditions.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities to address diverse needs in patient care effectively.
• Offer education and insight to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation strategies, self-management techniques, and the recovery process.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and provide comprehensive updates on patient progress to ensure a cohesive care experience.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service while fostering strong patient relationships to increase retention rates and improve outcomes.
• Maintain records and documentation that comply with regulatory expectations and reflect the progress of treatment initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay informed about the latest therapeutic techniques and patient care advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients dealing with a variety of musculoskeletal and orthopedic issues, including but not limited to post-operative rehabilitation from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and mobility impairments. Our patient demographics range from young athletes to seniors requiring rehabilitative care, and each patient's unique needs will allow you to apply a broad range of therapeutic knowledge and skill sets.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid State License in Physical Therapy, ensuring compliance with all regional legal requirements.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in physical therapy, with substantial exposure to orthopedic settings.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients and their support systems.
• Strong proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to facilitate documentation and patient record-keeping.
• The capability to build robust relationships with patients, helping to motivate them towards achieving their therapy goals.
• A positive demeanor with a genuine desire to connect and engage with members of our community.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with pediatric and neurologically impaired patients is a plus.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems specific to physical therapy.
• Demonstrated history of developing and implementing group therapy sessions.
