Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within the community, providing physical therapy services directly in patients' homes. This setting allows for a more intimate therapeutic relationship, where therapists can assess the patient's home environment and make recommendations that enhance treatment outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop effective and individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education on mobility aids, striving to alleviate pain and enhance strength and flexibility.
• Recognize and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary and communicating findings to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, assistive devices, and self-care strategies, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, enhance clinical practices, and ensure the highest standards of therapy are met.
• Stay current on best practices and innovations in physical therapy through ongoing education and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role directly supports a diverse patient population, particularly focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, accidental injuries, and significant health conditions like arthritis or neurological disorders. You will work with patients to help them regain functional mobility and improve their quality of life, thus playing a crucial role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay treatment plans and updates to patients and their families.
• Ability to demonstrate proficient computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of patients in different home settings.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or home health settings, although prior experience is not mandatory.
• Familiarity with current rehabilitation practices and assistive devices.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and educate patients and their families about therapeutic processes.

Compensation and Benefits
