Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, as you will be visiting patients in their homes to conduct therapy sessions. The home care setting allows for personalized and convenient treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient, ensuring comfort and enhancing recovery outcomes. You will work closely with a collaborative team that shares a common goal of improving the quality of care while fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to establish individualized treatment plans addressing their specific orthopedic needs.
• Implement and monitor treatment programs in patient homes, using skilled therapeutic methodologies to facilitate recovery and improved function.
• Offer hands-on therapeutic care, including manual therapies, strengthening exercises, and balance training, aligned with physician's directives.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment goals, progress, self-management strategies, and preventative measures for future injuries.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with industry standards and organizational protocols.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and outcomes through the use of research-driven practices.
• Provide outstanding customer service to ensure patients have a positive experience, enhancing their trust and satisfaction with our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist role will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or conditions. This includes individuals suffering from post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain management. You will have the opportunity to treat patients of varying ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations, and develop therapeutic relationships that significantly contribute to their overall recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Experience in home health care is a plus, particularly with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to regular compensation, employees can benefit from:
