Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our clients' homes in Keyport, New Jersey, allowing you to cultivate intimate, supportive relationships with your patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop and implement personalized therapy plans focused on restoring mobility, enhancing function, and mitigating pain based on orthopedic conditions.
• Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) ensuring the precise execution of care plans and addressing client needs effectively.
• Utilize evidence-based assessments and diverse techniques, such as manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage, to provide holistic care to patients.
• Perform in-home evaluations to determine the rehabilitation environment, providing recommendations to enhance patients' independence and improve safety.
• Document patient progress and clinical findings meticulously in OASIS and other required formats to maintain high standards of care and compliance with regulatory needs.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to form cohesive treatment strategies, participate in case conferences, and engage with healthcare providers regarding patient progress.
• Instruct patients and families in therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and the use and maintenance of assistive devices to encourage active participation in their recovery.
• Engage in ongoing education, optimizing the rehabilitation process through up-to-date knowledge of therapies and interventions.
• Complete timely documentation, including clinical records and session notes, to ensure seamless communication within the care network and to meet organizational standards.
• Be accessible to provide guidance and support to PTAs during treatments, ensuring cohesion in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients requiring rehabilitation due to surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will work with diverse demographics, including those recovering from knee and hip replacements, fractures, and sports-related injuries. Your empathetic approach will not only aid in the physical recovery of these patients but will also support their emotional well-being as they navigate their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program, demonstrating a high level of expertise and knowledge in physical therapy.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Active CPR certification, ensuring readiness for any emergencies during patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health or community-based settings is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in using therapy-related equipment and technologies to enhance treatment efficacy.

Compensation and Benefits
