Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, reviewing relevant medical histories and implementing specific assessments to inform treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring their active participation in goal-setting and recovery processes.
• Implement customized treatment protocols based on comprehensive evaluations, adapting strategies as necessary according to patient progress and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and achieve multidisciplinary goals; document any changes in patient conditions that necessitate revisions to treatment plans or consults.
• Manage discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up care is established; maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and care activities.
• Adhere to organizational productivity expectations, managing your schedule effectively to maximize patient outcomes and minimize barriers to care.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing efforts to enhance the visibility of our services and foster relationships within the community.
• Participate in the ongoing development and achievement of departmental goals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
• Actively pursue continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical competence, while also serving as a mentor to students or newer staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation following surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Our diverse patient population represents various age groups and physical challenges, necessitating tailored approaches to care that consider individual needs, preferences, and health backgrounds. This role is pivotal in improving their quality of life through dedicated rehabilitation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• A current state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey is mandatory.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, as per American Heart Association standards.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, engagement, and evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience is not required, candidates with internships or clinical rotations in orthopedic settings will be viewed favorably.
