Work Environment

This role is an onsite position that requires travel to various homes in East Brunswick and surrounding areas to provide therapy services. You will engage directly with patients in their familiar environment, which has shown to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to identify functional limitations and disabilities, employing evidence-based methods and appropriate assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Provide ongoing consultation to healthcare providers regarding patient care and continuity, ensuring seamless communication throughout their recovery process.
• Support patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and rehabilitative modalities designed to restore strength and mobility.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with state regulations and insurance requirements.
• Engage in community outreach and education programs aimed at promoting physical health and wellness.
• Attend regular staff meetings, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to departmental goals.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped to assist with patient care effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Mindful Physical Therapy, you will work closely with a diverse patient population, including seniors, post-surgical patients, individuals with chronic conditions, and those recovering from injuries. Your role will be critical in promoting their recovery and enhancing their functional mobility through tailored interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in electronic health record systems and basic word processing.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy is preferred, particularly within a home care or outpatient clinic setting. Experience with geriatric care and post-operative rehabilitation will be advantageous. Familiarity with evidence-based practices related to orthopedic conditions is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Mindful Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
