Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their mobility, strength, and functional capabilities upon their initial visit.
• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices to achieve desired rehabilitation outcomes.
• Utilize a diverse range of treatment techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Educate and guide patients, families, and caregivers about their condition, treatment plans, and home exercise programs to promote active participation in the recovery process.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment efficacy, and any necessary adjustments to therapeutic goals in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Regularly review and reassess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed based on clinical judgment and patient feedback.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in continuous professional development through attending training sessions, workshops, and seminars related to physical therapy innovations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors dealing with orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient presents a unique set of challenges, allowing you to showcase your expertise in adapting treatment approaches to facilitate positive recovery experiences.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in documentation software and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to adapt treatment techniques based on changing patient needs and progress.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, though motivated new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
