Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, you will:

• Direct physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and maximizing overall physical performance.
• Evaluate patients' functional abilities through various diagnostic tests tailored to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and overall capabilities.
• Oversee the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the accurate implementation of treatment plans while providing guidance and support as necessary.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' home environments to recommend adaptations and modifications that promote independence and safety.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual exercises, traction, and massage techniques, tailored to each patient's needs.
• Monitor and document patients' progress by observing changes in conditions and modifying treatment plans as required, in consultation with physicians and case managers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and contribute to holistic care planning.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment protocols, therapy devices, and lifestyle adaptations to enhance their recovery journey.
• Complete and maintain clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will work primarily with a diverse outpatient client population including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will help patients navigate their rehabilitation, focusing on functional independence and improved quality of life.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and possess a valid physical therapist license in New Jersey. The ideal applicant will embody a passion for clinical excellence and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience
