Work Environment

This position is focused on home care, where you will interact with patients in their familiar environments, allowing for personalized care that promotes comfort and effective rehabilitation. Working onsite, you will collaborate with a compact, yet dedicated team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a supportive and dynamic work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and individualized treatment plans that align with patient-specific goals and medical needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' conditions, applying your expertise to identify areas that require rehabilitation.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, ensuring treatments are cost-effective and focused on enhancing mobility and body function.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery processes, expected outcomes, and preventive health practices.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey to foster better functional outcomes and adherence to therapy.
• Coordinate care effectively by consulting with other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment and patient management strategies.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting therapy regimens as necessary to achieve desired health goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The selected candidate will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions impacting their mobility. This focus allows for specialized treatment techniques aimed at restoring strength, flexibility, and coordinated movement. Our patient-centered approach ensures that each individual receives tailored care for optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.
• Clear professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient environment, with a proven track record of patient care success.
• Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient interactions and treatment plans efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques and experience in creating engaging exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
