Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Jersey City rehabilitation facility, which is designed to facilitate recovery through cutting-edge equipment and rehabilitation techniques. Our outpatient clinic environment fosters teamwork and allows for direct patient interaction, enabling you to create meaningful relationships and continuity of care. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and tailor individual treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions that include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatment strategies, and preventative measures to maintain long-term health.
• Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies based on real-time feedback.
• Provide motivation and encouragement to patients, ensuring they are engaged and actively participating in their treatment journey.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nutritionists, to create a comprehensive care approach.
• Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in physical therapy to implement innovative treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Postural Therapeutic Outreach Clinic, you will predominantly work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient demographic ranges from young athletes to older adults, each requiring specialized care strategies to improve their function and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possess and maintain an active physical therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Demonstrate an outstanding command of orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques.
• Exhibit proficiency in documentation, particularly within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Web PT.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• A proven track record of developing individualized patient care plans and demonstrated success in patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
