Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Great Marshall Physical Therapy & Wellness Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. This full-time position requires a licensed professional capable of enhancing patient mobility and quality of life through personalized treatment plans. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will deliver patient-centered care, utilizing evidence-based practices to support recovery and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation center, where you will collaborate with a team of experienced physical therapists and physical therapy assistants (PTAs) to deliver superior healthcare services. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' rehabilitation needs and set achievable objectives tailored to their specific conditions.
• Manage a caseload of patients, typically one per hour, to ensure efficient and effective therapy delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans employing various therapeutic techniques and exercises.
• Utilize manual therapy methods and advanced modalities to enhance patients' physical capabilities and expedite healing.
• Educate patients about their conditions and promote self-management through tailored exercise regimens and wellness strategies.
• Document all patient encounters comprehensively to track outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive care for all patients.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients, providing encouragement and motivation throughout their treatment journey.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress consistently, adapting treatment approaches based on their responses and improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients with musculoskeletal disorders, including, but not limited to, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. We largely cater to individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring personalized attention and tailored solutions for each patient's unique journey to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions or board issues.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and skilled in developing and implementing exercise programs.
• Experienced in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to enhance practice efficiency.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient environment is preferred.
• Expertise in developing comprehensive care plans and patient education initiatives to drive positive health outcomes.
• History of engaging with diverse populations and maintaining patient-centered focus in treatment delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
