Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand patients' physical capabilities and limitations, developing tailored therapy plans.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education, ensuring methodologies align with best practices.
• Educate patients on injury management, pain relief techniques, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery and lifelong health.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment plan.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, including post-operative patients, athletes, and those experiencing chronic pain or musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will be crucial in helping these patients understand their conditions and navigate their rehabilitation journeys, empowering them to achieve their health goals.

Qualifications

• Current valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using evidence-based treatment approaches, such as the McKenzie Method or Aquatic Therapy, is advantageous.
• Strong background in manual therapy techniques and patient education.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
