Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' physical conditions, focusing on their orthopedic needs to develop individualized therapy plans.
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring functionality through tailored rehabilitation strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy procedures, home exercises, and injury prevention techniques to support continued recovery.
• Engage in clinical teaching, offering insights and guidance to interns and junior staff regarding best practices in physical therapy.
• Lead in-service presentations at least once annually to share knowledge, enhance staff education, and promote continued learning within the team.
• Collaborate with the clinic manager to initiate clinical research projects that align with your areas of expertise and contribute to advancing physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse adult patient population, focusing on those with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. Your role is fundamental in facilitating their progress toward improved physical capabilities and enhanced quality of life, making compassion and effective communication key components of your daily interactions.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.
• Minimum of two years of practical experience in orthopedic physical therapy settings, demonstrating a depth of knowledge and competence in patient care.
• Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred, indicating additional specialized knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with a track record of advanced treatment techniques, such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercise protocols, will be prioritized. Experience in supervising or mentoring interns, as well as leading clinical training sessions, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
