Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients' functional abilities to formulate and implement effective treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and function.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to the individual needs of patients.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to the care plan and provide supervision as necessary according to state regulations.
• Utilize diagnostic tests to evaluate strength, range of motion, and overall physical capabilities while documenting progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly.
• Engage in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to holistic patient care and rehabilitation strategies, ensuring comprehensive support for each patient.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, at-home exercises, and maintenance of therapeutic devices to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with our documentation protocols.
• Advocate for patient needs and coordinate with healthcare team members to facilitate resource access that may aid rehabilitation efforts.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay abreast of best practices in physical therapy and enhance the professional standards of care.
• Perform any additional duties as needed to support the overall mission of Joint Ventures Physical Therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on patients experiencing orthopedic issues, ranging from acute injuries to chronic conditions. You will work with diverse patient demographics, including young athletes recovering from sports injuries, and older adults managing conditions such as arthritis. Each therapy session is approached with the goal of maximizing function and promoting a return to daily activities, thus enhancing the overall quality of life for our patients.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• A current state PT license in good standing to practice in New Jersey.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, ideally with orthopedic patients.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients and families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an acute care or inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Familiarity with outpatient orthopedic tools and treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
