West Valley Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. Located in Newark, NJ, West Valley Physical Therapy Services is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, spanning 5,000 square feet and fully equipped for top-tier sports medicine care. Our practice specializes in orthopedic outpatient therapy, serving a diverse patient population primarily covered by private medical insurance. Work Environment

You will work onsite alongside a close-knit team of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. The center fosters a dynamic and motivating atmosphere, emphasizing collaboration, professional development, and commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the objectives and requirements of each patient.
• Effectively manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each session is tailored to the individual's therapeutic needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans using a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Employ cost-effective intervention strategies aimed at enhancing patient motion and mobility.
• Seek to minimize reliance on medications and surgical interventions by providing alternative therapeutic solutions.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey, focusing on maximizing functional abilities.
• Collaborate and communicate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
• Regularly assess treatment effectiveness and progress, adjusting care plans as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily caters to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgical procedures. The demographic includes athletes, active adults, and individuals aged 18 to 65 who require specialized rehabilitation to restore functionality and improve mobility. You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, providing personalized and empathetic care that addresses their specific challenges.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey is essential.
• A clear record with no instances of board actions or disciplinary measures against the license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and in creating individualized exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) platforms such as WebPT is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to engage patients in their rehabilitation process and foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.
• Skills in delivering evidence-based techniques to achieve significant patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings options, and paid time off.
