Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Position Overview

TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a committed Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. This role is integral to helping our patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through personalized care and rehabilitation programs. We pride ourselves on our 5,000 square feet state-of-the-art sports medicine facility that provides tailored treatment to individuals with private medical insurance. Our clinic is owned and operated by experienced physical therapists who are dedicated to creating a supportive and progressive environment for both staff and patients.

Work Environment

This full-time position involves working onsite in our rehabilitative practice setting, where you will collaborate closely with two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The energetic and supportive culture fosters teamwork and continuous learning, ensuring that our therapists deliver the highest quality care in a comfortable and well-equipped environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' personal goals and physical limitations, strategically developing individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload, averaging one patient per hour, while ensuring each individual receives dedicated and focused attention.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' range of motion, mobility, and overall physical well-being, fostering independence and life satisfaction.
• Develop and implement progressive exercise and rehabilitation protocols tailored to unique patient needs, actively promoting a recovery-focused approach.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and maintaining clear communication with referred physicians and allied health professionals.
• Encourage a lifestyle of wellness through education about healthy practices, nutrition, exercise, and prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions in line with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development activities, contributing to a culture of excellence in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic predominantly serves patients in outpatient care, including those recovering from orthopedic surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We focus on delivering personalized therapy treatments that cater to the specific needs of each patient, thereby maximizing their functional outcomes and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of contemporary rehabilitation practices.
• Ability to develop individualized care plans that reflect evidence-based practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interactions and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of utilizing EMR software, particularly WebPT, for patient management and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
