Position Overview

The Meridian Shine Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team full-time at our outpatient facility in Paterson, New Jersey. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will engage directly with patients committed to recovering their mobility and enhancing their quality of life. Our team consists of skilled professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to providing exceptional patient care and results.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a patient caseload with an efficient pace, typically one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality, focused care.
• Utilize a diverse array of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to promote healing and improve mobility.
• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and outcomes meticulously to ensure clear communication with both team members and patients.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, celebrating their progress while setting new functional goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and leverage additional resources as needed.
• Continuously monitor and assess treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary based on individual progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily serves patients who require orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Each patient's journey is unique, and as their primary therapist, you will be instrumental in guiding them through intensive recovery programs tailored specifically to their individual lifestyles and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current physical therapist license in New Jersey, with a clean professional record and no disciplinary actions.
• Strong understanding and expertise in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, and exercise prescription.
• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like WebPT to track patient progress and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, particularly with a focus on enhancing patients' mobility and functional outcomes.
• Experience designing and conducting individualized rehabilitation programs and exercise regimens tailored to patient-specific needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
