Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, situated within our modern, well-equipped facility in Jersey City. You will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), collaborating closely in a warm and dynamic atmosphere that promotes both staff and patient well-being. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical therapy needs through comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Effectively manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, providing high-quality care that addresses each patient's specific goals.
• Utilize diverse therapeutic techniques to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function.
• Educate and guide patients through their rehabilitation process, ensuring they remain motivated and engaged.
• Document patient progress using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment approach that provides comprehensive care.
• Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary based on progress and feedback.
• Provide alternative solutions to medications and surgical interventions by offering effective physical therapy services.
• Promote preventative strategies and healthy lifestyle choices to minimize the risk of injury and enhance functional fitness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients seeking orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility impairments. Our facility emphasizes a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on individuals' unique circumstances and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey with a clean disciplinary record.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription tailored to individual rehabilitation needs.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to foster productive patient relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems and familiarity with using treatment modalities.
• Experience in developing fitness and wellness programs aimed at improving patient health and rehabilitation success.

Compensation and Benefits
