Full-Time Physical Therapist for Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

Vitality Empower Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our orthopedic outpatient practice. In this pivotal role, you will partner with patients to guide them on their journey of recovery, helping them regain motion and achieve their fullest potential for mobility and functionality. As a Physical Therapist, you will not only facilitate rehabilitation but also play a key role in enhancing the overall quality of life for your patients through comprehensive care and support.

About the Organization

At Vitality Empower Physical Therapy, we are proud to operate a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility located in Newark, New Jersey. Our practice is owned by seasoned physical therapists and is committed to delivering exceptional care to individuals with private medical insurance. We emphasize a collaborative and supportive work culture among our team, which currently includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. Work Environment

This full-time position is conducted onsite at our rehabilitation center. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet dynamic workday. Our facility is designed with the latest therapeutic equipment and resources, creating a conducive environment for both patient interactions and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to identify and understand each patient's unique goals and requirements.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, allowing for personalized and focused therapy sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide high-quality, individualized treatment and rehabilitation strategies.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques and exercises tailored to enhance mobility.
• Design and implement targeted fitness and wellness programs addressing the specific needs and preferences of each patient.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient progress.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care services using EMR Software, specifically WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, promoting healthy lifestyle choices that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Provide educational resources and support for patients to encourage adherence to treatment plans and preventive measures against further injury.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on a diverse patient population consisting of individuals referred for orthopedic rehabilitation due to injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our practice is dedicated to fostering an environment where patients feel empowered to take charge of their health, thus facilitating their journey to recovery and improved physical function.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A strong professional record, free from board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques along with exceptional skills in creating and implementing exercise protocols.
• Competency in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• A history of developing specialized treatment plans for diverse patient needs.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for enhanced patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
