SpringLeaf Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology. We focus primarily on outpatient therapy for patients with private insurance, ensuring our team has the resources necessary to deliver high-quality care. Our experienced staff is dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages continuous learning and collaboration.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite within our lively rehabilitation facility located in Elizabeth, NJ. The center features a well-equipped gym, treatment rooms designed for privacy, and open areas for group therapy sessions. With a collaborative atmosphere, our team consists of two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, promoting a community of support, knowledge-sharing, and teamwork. Our typical work schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs, developing individualized care plans that focus on their specific goals and limitations.
• Provide one-on-one treatment sessions, effectively managing a patient load of one per hour to ensure attention to detail and customized care.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that empower patients to improve their movement and functional outcomes.
• Reduce reliance on medications by offering alternative treatments and rehabilitation techniques that promote natural healing.
• Create tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with the unique needs of each patient, encouraging lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
• Motivate and educate patients on their recovery journey, promoting mental and physical resilience.
• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and outcomes meticulously to maintain compliance and facilitate ongoing communication.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care across relevant medical specialties.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic mainly serves patients with private insurance who are dealing with orthopedic conditions. You will work with a diverse group of individuals varying in age and background, each presenting unique challenges and therapy goals. This role requires a compassionate approach to care, with an emphasis on understanding the personal motivations of each patient as they work towards recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT is preferred).
• State licensure as a physical therapist in New Jersey, or eligibility for licensure.
• A clean professional record with no history of board actions or disciplinary issues.
• Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques and a background in orthopedic outpatient therapy.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, enabling efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated success in developing individualized exercise regimens for various patient populations.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and a passion for sports medicine.
• A commitment to pursuing continuing education and staying updated with advancements in physical therapy and treatment techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
