Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Elizabeth, our rehabilitation facility is designed to enhance the patient experience and facilitate effective treatment. The onsite clinic operates Monday to Friday and emphasizes collaboration among healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, which include reviewing medical history, assessing physical capabilities, and documenting results accurately to inform treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and proposed treatment plans to patients and their families, actively involving them in establishing goals for recovery.
• Implement evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to individual patient presentations, adapting as necessary to maintain alignment with the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to address complex patient needs and adjust care plans based on ongoing assessments and documented changes in patient conditions.
• Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up care, effectively documenting all interactions to provide a clear progress narrative for each patient's treatment journey.
• Manage clinic schedules efficiently to meet productivity targets while remaining respectful and timely in all communications and meetings.
• Engage in departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery, complying with regulatory standards, and contributing to our overarching goals and objectives.
• Pursue continuing education to enhance personal professional growth and competency, while also mentoring and guiding students as a clinical instructor.
• Promote accessibility and a superior customer experience, aligning with Access NRH initiatives that seek to remove barriers to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work with a diverse patient population facing a range of orthopedic conditions, including postoperative recovery, sports-related injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving their mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the state of New Jersey.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Valid CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities to enhance patient recovery outcomes.
• Prior involvement in clinical education or mentorship programs for physical therapy students.

Compensation and Benefits
