Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee individualized physical therapy treatment plans focused on relieving pain, restoring function, and preventing disability, ensuring adherence to each patient's personalized care plan.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, utilizing diagnostic assessments to determine their physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapy assistants to ensure accurate implementation of treatment plans, providing guidance and oversight as mandated by state laws.
• Assess home environments for safety and recommend necessary modifications to enhance patients' independence and overall functionality.
• Administer various therapies, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and physical agents, tailoring approaches to meet individual patient requirements.
• Compile detailed clinical documentation, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission for inclusion in patients' clinical records.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to facilitate comprehensive care planning and develop best practice treatment strategies for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs, promoting self-management techniques and understanding of their rehabilitation process.
• Continuously monitor and analyze patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and methods as necessary in consultation with physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous education opportunities to stay abreast of the latest advancements and methodologies in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist will cater to a varied patient population recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other physical impairments. Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting, demonstrating proficiency in assessing and treating complex musculoskeletal conditions.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with experience in administrative responsibilities, developing care plans, and a background in community outreach programs will be given preference. Knowledge of electronic medical record systems and experience working in a multi-disciplinary team setting will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
