We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Go Physical Therapy Clinic. In this full-time role, you will provide specialized orthopedic rehabilitation services to patients in their home environments, maximizing their recovery and independence. Work Environment

Your work will primarily take place onsite in clients' homes based in Fords, New Jersey, allowing you to provide care in a familiar and comfortable setting for your patients. This role involves collaborating closely with Physical Therapy Assistants and other healthcare professionals to create, implement, and assess individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment to enhance muscle function, relieve pain, and improve the overall physical performance of clients.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring efficient implementation of care plans and maintaining high standards in patient care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic tests to establish functional performance levels.
• Assess home environments to recommend necessary modifications that promote the rehabilitation process and enhance client independence.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage, while instructing clients on non-manual exercises and functional activities.
• Fit, evaluate, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, and collaborate with physicians regarding necessary modifications.
• Participate in developing and regularly updating care plans in partnership with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring all client needs are addressed.
• Document clinical records accurately and timely, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress reports.
• Actively participate in case conferences to collaboratively devise the most effective treatment strategies for clients.
• Provide patient and family education on physical therapy tools and overall rehabilitation processes to maximize outcomes.
• Maintain open lines of communication with the healthcare team and ensure timely submission of documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients range from those recovering from orthopedic surgeries to individuals with chronic pain or mobility impairments. As an orthopedic physical therapist, you will focus on helping these clients regain function and improve their quality of life. By working directly in their homes, you will witness firsthand the impact of your interventions while fostering meaningful relationships with patients and their families.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in physical therapy practice, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience are required, we value applicants with advanced training in orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, or any specialized certifications that will enrich our practice. Experience with telehealth practices and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
