Work Environment

This position is specifically focused on home care, allowing you to work in a variety of settings tailored to the needs of your clients. As an onsite therapist, you will travel to patients' homes, where you will conduct assessments and administer treatments in a familiar and comfortable environment for them. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to guarantee the effective execution of treatment plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' levels of function through diagnostic tests and personal assessments.
• Assessing home environments for rehabilitation purposes and providing recommendations to enhance client independence.
• Administering a variety of treatments, including manual therapeutic exercises, and guiding clients through non-manual activities to improve mobility.
• Monitoring client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observations and responses.
• Preparing comprehensive clinical records such as evaluations, care plans, and progress notes to uphold a high standard of documentation.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care and coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Providing education and support to clients and their families regarding therapy techniques and care for therapeutic devices.
• Remaining accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatments to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients, managing cases that require rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting musculoskeletal function. This population includes a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, thus requiring a compassionate approach to care that respects their unique circumstances. You will play an integral role in guiding them towards recovery, independence, and improved mobility.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current PT license in good standing in New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome new graduates, we strongly prefer applicants with at least one year of experience in an acute care or home care setting. You should also demonstrate proficiency with managing electronic health records and documenting patient care efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
