Work Environment

This position involves providing care onsite in patients' homes across Las Vegas, allowing for a flexible, supportive atmosphere where therapists can directly see the impact of their work in real-time. By delivering therapy in this setting, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with patients in their daily environments, which significantly aids in therapy adherence and overall recovery. Working Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promotes a balanced work life conducive to maintaining your passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and reassessments to determine the most effective treatment strategies tailored to each patient's needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific goals and functional impairments.
• Utilize hands-on techniques and guided therapeutic exercises, adapting approaches for optimal outcomes for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Educate patients and their families about recovery processes, injury prevention, and home exercise programs to ensure sustainable progress.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care and transitions across settings.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented clinic culture, contributing to mentorship initiatives, especially for new graduates.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Working with a diverse demographic, your role will help patients regain mobility, strength, and overall function, enhancing their quality of life. Whether it's managing post-operative rehabilitation or guiding someone through a sports therapy program, your expertise will directly contribute to positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A current license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of Nevada.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills combined with excellent interpersonal abilities to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
• Experience treating orthopedic conditions, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex cases.

Preferred Experience

• Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification or a keen interest in pursuing specialized certifications.
