Senior Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Functional Physical Therapy in Milpitas, California. This role requires your presence at the clinic, supporting our clients through hands-on therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individualized therapy sessions, managing your schedule effectively to treat 1–2 patients per hour .
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, and exercise plans, to improve patient outcomes.
• Continuously assess patient progress and adapt treatment strategies accordingly to ensure optimal recovery.
• Thoroughly document patient interactions and progress in the WebPT system, ensuring seamless communication with other healthcare providers.
• Participate actively in case management discussions and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.
• Educate patients and their families on health management strategies to encourage adherence to rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on orthopedic outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions. You will work with a diverse patient demographic, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet the specific requirements of each individual, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• An active license to practice Physical Therapy in California, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong analytical skills and a patient-centered approach that emphasizes individualized patient care and satisfaction.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to motivate patients and engage them in their own recovery processes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, will be viewed favorably.
• Work experience that demonstrates a commitment to continuing education and professional development in Physical Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
