Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Role in Home Care Setting

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in the greater Woodbridge area, where you will be working directly in patients' homes. The role requires adaptability and the ability to deliver effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs. You will collaborate closely with a team of physical therapists and physical therapy assistants, emphasizing teamwork and shared goals for patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' movement and functionality, establishing baseline metrics for treatment effectiveness.
• Manage a scheduled caseload, generally seeing one patient per hour, allowing for focused, high-quality care.
• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques to optimize patients' recovery journeys.
• Provide targeted interventions aimed at improving range of motion, reducing pain, and enhancing mobility without reliance on surgical options whenever possible.
• Implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to address specific goals and enhance overall patient health.
• Deliver education to patients about their conditions and the rehabilitative process, promoting active participation in their recovery.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions to facilitate communication within the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care across the health spectrum.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As part of our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will primarily serve patients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions. This includes post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, arthritis, and chronic pain management. Our clients vary in age and activity level, providing a rich spectrum of challenges that require both clinical expertise and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean professional record free of disciplinary actions.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and a strong ability to create personalized exercise protocols.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably WebPT, to manage patient documentation effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, particularly with a focus on home care.
• Demonstrated success in implementing patient-specific rehabilitation strategies leading to improved patient outcomes.
• Experience working collaboratively within a small team and contributing to a positive team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
