Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in a home care setting within Linden, New Jersey. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work directly with patients in their homes, which allows you to tailor therapy plans to their specific environments and situations. This personalized approach enhances the effectiveness of treatment, fosters trust between therapists and patients, and ensures that care is aligned with patients' daily routines and lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, gathering comprehensive medical histories and utilizing specialized diagnostic tools.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on patient-centered goals, ensuring these plans are regularly reviewed and adjusted based on progress and feedback.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques and innovative practices such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training for rehabilitation and recovery.
• Provide education to patients and their families on injury prevention, safe exercise modalities, and effective self-care strategies to promote long-term health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with organizational protocols and legal regulations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care approaches for each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on providing high-quality care to a diverse patient demographic, including adults and seniors facing orthopedic challenges such as post-operative recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain issues. You will work closely with individuals recovering from surgeries, such as joint replacements, as well as those managing ongoing conditions like arthritis or back pain. This diverse patient population requires an adaptable and empathetic clinician who can address various needs and facilitate recovery through personalized therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical skills.
• Specialization or extensive experience in orthopedic rehabilitation therapies is strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, with a commitment to using evidence-based practices and innovative therapies to enhance patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, alongside a robust benefits package.
