Work Environment

This position is primarily an onsite role, where you will provide physical therapy services in the comfort of our patients' homes. The home care setting allows you to work closely with individuals in their familiar environments, enhancing the therapeutic relationship and engagement in their care. You will typically work weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, facilitating a work-life balance that is conducive to both personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions through comprehensive assessments, including strength, flexibility, and mobility tests.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans utilizing evidence-based practices that incorporate various treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Provide cost-effective treatments aimed at enhancing patient mobility, reducing pain, and minimizing reliance on medication or invasive procedures.
• Motivate and educate patients by creating tailored fitness and wellness programs that promote sustainable health improvements.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions thoroughly, ensuring accurate records that comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and families to adjust treatment plans as needs evolve, ensuring comprehensive and holistic care.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic equipment and techniques to deliver effective rehabilitation strategies for different orthopedic conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your patients will range from post-operative individuals requiring rehabilitation to those seeking preventive care or looking to improve their functional capabilities. Understanding the individual backgrounds, pain thresholds, and rehabilitation goals of your patients will be crucial in achieving positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Hold a current and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Maintain a clean record with no instances of disciplinary actions related to your professional license.
• At least two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing and executing effective exercise regimens and manual therapy techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a home care setting is highly desirable, providing you with the skills to navigate different patient environments effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
