Work Environment

This position is primarily an onsite role where you will provide one-on-one therapy sessions within client homes across Woodbridge and surrounding neighborhoods. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical abilities and needs upon intake, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Deliver personalized physical therapy sessions aimed at improving strength, flexibility, and overall mobility, emphasizing functional outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapies and exercise programs.
• Utilize EMR software, particularly WebPT, to accurately document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress, ensuring seamless communication within the care team.
• Promote non-surgical interventions and educate patients on pain management strategies that reduce the need for medications.
• Monitor and adjust treatment protocols based on ongoing assessments of patient progress and feedback, collaborating with other healthcare providers as necessary.
• Provide education on injury prevention and ongoing health and wellness strategies to empower patients towards long-term success.
• Maintain a manageable patient load to ensure quality care and personalized attention for each individual.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic pain conditions, and patients seeking rehabilitation from sports-related injuries. You will engage patients of various ages and backgrounds, providing compassionate and attentive care tailored to their unique health situations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop effective exercise programming for varied patient needs.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to ensure accurate patient documentation and continuity of care.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest physical therapy practices and research, enabling evidence-based decision-making in patient treatment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient care is preferred.
• Experience working in home care settings, demonstrating the ability to adapt to different home environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 60,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
