Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients, gathering comprehensive information on their medical histories and current conditions.
• Evaluate and diagnose movement dysfunctions impacting patients' mobility and quality of life.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and equipment utilization.
• Instruct patients in the proper use of equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers to facilitate their mobility.
• Administer physical therapy techniques including therapeutic massage and mobilization to promote healing.
• Track patient progress meticulously, updating records to reflect any changes or advancements in therapy.
• Provide guidance and educational resources to patients and families regarding at-home care and exercises.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure continuity of care and optimized patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient demographic ranging from children to the elderly, managing various conditions such as post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, neurological disorders, and musculoskeletal injuries. Your dedication to individualized care will make a significant difference in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients and team members.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain patient documentation.
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches based on patient response and progress.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is required, we encourage newly graduated therapists to apply as we offer mentorship programs designed to foster professional growth. Understanding the dynamics of home care services and experience working with pediatric or geriatric populations will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
