Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is predominantly onsite, focusing on providing care directly in clients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to establish a tailored physical therapy treatment plan aimed at alleviating pain, preventing disability, and restoring functionality in line with the client's capabilities.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants in delivering care consistent with the established treatment plan, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Evaluate patient mobility and physical functioning by employing diagnostic tests targeting muscular, nerve, and joint performance, utilizing findings to inform and adapt treatment strategies.
• Assess the home environment to foster rehabilitation, providing actionable recommendations that enhance patient independence and safety.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents, to promote healing and functional improvement.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and discuss patient progress, outcomes, and strategies for improvement.
• Document patient progress meticulously through clinical records including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Instruct patients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices and techniques, empowering them to engage in their rehabilitation fully.
• Supervise and instruct Physical Therapy Assistants and ensure they provide appropriate care under your guidance in accordance with state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with a diverse patient population in their homes, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or those with chronic conditions affecting mobility. Our goal is to support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey by focusing on their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.
• No history of setbacks, sanctions, or board proceedings related to your professional license.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a strong aptitude for developing effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Strong skills in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for precise documentation and record-keeping.
• Current and in-depth knowledge of physical therapy practices and techniques, informed by the latest research and clinical guidelines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home healthcare settings is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Background in treating geriatric populations or patients with complex medical histories.

Compensation and Benefits

This physical therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
