Mobility Project Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Irvington, New Jersey. Work Environment

This onsite role primarily involves interacting with patients in the comfort of their own homes. Each day presents a unique opportunity to understand patient needs within their own living environment, enabling you to create personalized treatment approaches. You will collaborate closely with patients on a one-on-one basis, facilitating a supportive and intimate rehabilitation process in an environment that fosters healing and growth. Monday to Friday work hours from 9 am to 5 pm ensure you can maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations related to their orthopedic conditions.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices to enhance strength, mobility, and function.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain, promote healing, and restore movement.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, ergonomics, and the importance of adherence to exercise and treatment regimens.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain thorough documentation of sessions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Encourage adherence to a healthy lifestyle through guidance on exercise, nutrition, and wellness strategies.
• Reduce reliance on medication by offering viable alternatives that promote recovery and functional independence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals dealing with orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, and age-related mobility challenges. As a Physical Therapist at Mobility Project, you will engage with diverse patients, including athletes recovering from injuries, elderly clients seeking to maintain functional mobility, and individuals re-establishing their quality of life following surgeries. Your role is vital in providing compassionate, personalized care tailored to the unique circumstances of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current and active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• At least two years of relevant experience in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Integrity with an untarnished professional record, free of board restrictions or disciplinary actions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care settings, particularly in delivering therapy in clients' homes.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) for tracking patient progress and facilitating communication.
• Proven ability to develop patient-centered care plans that involve family members and caregivers.
