Work Environment

Your work setting will be exclusively onsite in clients' homes within the Woodbridge area and surrounding communities. Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and maintaining peak performance in clients based on individualized care plans.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective implementation of treatment plans, enhancing overall therapeutic outcomes.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through recognized diagnostic assessments, enabling precise planning of rehabilitation efforts.
• Assess clients' home environments to make informed recommendations that facilitate greater independence and enhance rehabilitation success.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services at home, administering therapeutic exercises and motivational support to encourage patient participation in their recovery journey.
• Implement manual therapy techniques including traction and massage, and apply a range of physical modalities to optimize patient comfort and recovery.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices, collaborating closely with physicians to ensure adaptive solutions are met for our clients.
• Teach clients and their families about managing therapy devices and understanding the full scope of their rehab programs, fostering empowerment in their health journey.
• Complete and maintain precise clinical records including evaluations, updates, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively plan and evaluate comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or illness, as well as those requiring ongoing management for chronic conditions. The focus will be on providing tailored care that empowers clients to achieve significant gains in mobility and independence within their familiar home surroundings.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• At least one (1) year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in acute care or home care settings.
• Valid and current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey, supplemented by ongoing professional development and CPR certification.
• Demonstrable passion for clinical excellence, quality care, and the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A proactive approach to patient care, coupled with superior problem-solving skills and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Preferred Experience

Although a minimum of one year's experience is required, candidates with additional backgrounds in specialized rehabilitation techniques or innovative patient care methodologies will be highly regarded. Familiarity with federal, state, and governing agency regulations will also be beneficial in meeting compliance standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000.
