Work Environment

You will work primarily onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Sayreville, NJ. Our facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and resources necessary to create a conducive environment for both rehabilitation and healing. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and rehabilitation aides, to ensure that our patients receive coordinated and comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for:

• Managing an individualized physical therapy program that focuses on preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring function in patients, all in accordance with their unique treatment plans.
• Working closely with Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they implement the prescribed plans of care effectively.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities by utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques, including muscle and joint assessments.
• Assessing the environmental factors that impact patient rehabilitation and making customized recommendations to enhance their independence.
• Delivering hands-on therapy, including physical agents, exercises, traction, and massage, as per physician directives.
• Fitting and modifying prosthetic and orthotic devices and advising physicians on necessary adjustments.
• Updating patient care plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback from interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintaining precise documentation of evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries as part of each patient's clinical record.
• Participating in interdisciplinary case conferences aimed at optimizing the overall treatment strategy for patients.
• Providing guidance and education to patients and their families on managing physical therapy devices and treatment regimens.
• Completing additional assigned duties that support organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, chronic pain conditions, and rehabilitation following strokes or other neurological issues. Your role will be critical in helping these patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions and motivational support.

Qualifications

We seek candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Possess at least one year of relevant clinical experience, ideally in outpatient or home health settings.
• Maintain a current, valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Have current CPR certification.
• Exhibit a strong commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and patient advocacy.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• Show a high level of energy and motivation, with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the essential qualifications, candidates with experience in using electronic health records (EHR) for clinical documentation and familiarity with community resources for patient referrals will be preferred. Compensation and Benefits

Your talent and experience will be rewarded with a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
