Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at VIP Physical Therapy & Wellness in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Work Environment

The practice is located in a welcoming outpatient office in Perth Amboy, offering a comfortable and modern setting for both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients to assess their individual needs and physical limitations.
• Develop and implement customized rehabilitation programs focused on enhancing mobility, strength, and flexibility while reducing pain.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Engage in clinical teaching, providing guidance and support to physical therapy interns, students, and other staff members.
• Prepare and lead at least one in-service educational session annually to share knowledge with colleagues.
• Collaborate with physical therapy management to identify educational needs and resources that enhance team competencies.
• Contribute to potential clinical research initiatives within your area of expertise to advance the practice of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Many of our clients are active individuals seeking to regain their mobility and strength after injuries, allowing you to impact their lives significantly. You will employ various treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training, to cater to the specific needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Master's Degree is preferred.
• Current and valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable but not a requirement.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus, facilitating efficient documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 110,000 to USD 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
