Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Blackwood Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, located in the heart of Edison, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our expanding team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a progressive orthopedic outpatient setting, allowing you to make a significant impact on patients' recovery journeys. You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, striving to enhance their mobility and overall quality of life.

Our practice primarily serves patients with private medical insurance, ensuring they receive personalized treatment tailored to their specific needs.

Work Environment

Our facility boasts a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, housing a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). You will work in a hands-on, onsite environment where your expertise will be valued. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and develop tailored care plans that outline specific treatment goals based on individual needs.
• Perform one-on-one therapy sessions, efficiently managing a patient load of one individual per hour.
• Implement evidence-based treatment techniques aimed at minimizing pain and enhancing mobility for orthopedic conditions.
• Design and execute personalized fitness and wellness programs, focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient progress, interventions, and outcomes using EMR software such as WebPT.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of treatment strategies, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their therapeutic journey, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves orthopedic patients, many of whom are recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their physical mobility. You will have the chance to work closely with individuals at varying levels of mobility, customizing rehabilitation strategies that lead to substantial improvements in their daily functioning and overall wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• A clean professional record, with no board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques with a proven track record of achieving excellent patient outcomes.
• Experience in developing effective exercise regimens personalized to the needs of clients.
• Proficiency in using EMR software platforms, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient environment is highly desirable, as it will enable you to provide expert care in our specialized setting.
• Knowledge of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices, techniques, and technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
